About Ottabid
Ottabid was founded in Spring of 2009 by Daniel Cohen. The underlying
software was written on an ancient Linux system in his basement.
In order to improve brand recognition, Daniel decided to create a
logo based on OttaBid's mascot, the Otter. The drawing was done by
Daniel's sister, Gillian and then modified to become the original logo.
Recently, Ottabid has changed appearance and logo in an attempt to become a more "professional" service.
The Otter is still our mascot but we added a new logo.
We hope you like our new look! A year ago, he enlisted the help of Michael Hathaway to help
manage the business side of Ottabid. Daniel continues to work on Ottabid, making it more accesable and useful
to users around the world. He is currently working on internationalizing Ottabid
so that people from Algeria to Zimbabwe can use it.
